What We Do

Who We Are

Take a deep breath . . .  and let it out.

One more time. Deep breath in . . . and out.

Didn't that feel good? It was a small break from your crazy day that enabled you to release some tension, de-stress a little bit and . . . SELAH. The word SELAH is frequently found in Scripture, representing rest in the midst of songs. That's what we offer to you. A quick moment of rest in the midst of your lifesong. Founded in 2020, Selah Studios creates social art spaces that allow busy individuals to rest and relax in a comfortable atmosphere by catering to your desired creative expressions.

It's been proven over and over again that arts participation is relaxing, reduces stress & anxiety, and improves the health and quality of life in adults. Most people agree that the arts improve their daily life experience but cost, comfortability & time often hinder participation. SELAH STUDIOS exists to combat those barriers. We're here to make art easy, fun, and accessible.

"On the seventh day God had finished his work of creation, so he rested from all his work." - Genesis 2:1

Even in scripture, we see that creativity gives way to rest. So join us as we help you use art to RELAX - CREATE - RELEASE. RELAX - make or become less tense or anxious. CREATE - make something new. RELEASE - let go and be free

Selah Studios, LLC helps you find rest and relaxation by providing artistic social spaces that enable you to experience and explore your own creativity in a calm, welcoming, and accessible environment.

Follow us for inspiration and encouragement in your creative journey. We'll support you by offering small social art gatherings as we create easy acrylic paintings on canvases, tote bags, and more!

Jasmine E. Austin is the founder of Selah Studios. She graduated from Lycoming College in 2010 with a B.A. in Studio Art/Commercial Design. While studying there, she became well versed in multiple mediums including painting, graphic design, photography, and animation. Her work gained much acclaim and was featured in multiple gallery openings throughout Williamsport, PA. Upon graduation Jasmine began working in retail and soon after obtained the position of Director for a local health care agency, all which pulled her away from her art. Thankfully in October of 2014 she attended a Paint Nite event that reignited her true love for painting.

Since then, the Lord has availed multiple opportunities for Jasmine to share her creative abilities with the world; she's worked as a Paint Nite Master Artist, a Teaching Artist for Art Sanctuary, and worked as the Director of Communications for a local church. She also fervently serves at her home church, CareView Community, in various ministry roles. In the midst of these activities, Jasmine obtained her Masters of Arts Administration and Museum Leadership from Drexel University

as a member of the determined Class of 2020.

Now, Jasmine works as the Development Manager at Moore College of Art & Design in Philadelphia, PA, and is an adjunct professor at Drexel University, teaching one of the courses from the Arts Administration graduate program that she graduated from just a few short years ago. In 2022, she married the love of her life, Wayne Austin. Wayne is a family therapist and also is a musician, video producer, and leads ministry alongside his wife Jasmine at CareView Community Church. Wayne helped her launch Selah Studios in 2020 and continues to support and propel the business to its full potential. The Austins currently live in Delaware County, PA, anticipating divine miracles and they walk out their calling in creative ministry.
